In loving memory of Harley
We lost Harley on 3/2/2010, only 4 days after losing Shannon.  He had been struggling since Christmas when had suddenly started losing weight.  After a series of tests and x-rays the only thing that could be found was a higher than normal blood pressure.  With medication for the blood pressure and frequent small feedings of canned food he seemed to stabilize, but started to have more problems on Saturday, 2/27/2010.  An urgent run to the emergency vet found he apparently could no longer see, but otherwise seemed stable.  Additional supportive care was started and he seemed OK for the next two days.  On Tuesday afternoon he appeared to have a stroke and his condition began to quickly deteriorate.  We said our last "Good-Bye" at 4:00 pm.  He, Shannon and Jake are together again, but we miss them all dearly.

We lost Shannon at 5:00 pm on 2/26/2010.  It came on suddenly with her as it did with Jake, and appears to have been the same type of problem.  She was groaning when she laid down and when I checked she had a badly distended belly so we rushed her to the vet.  At first we thought an obstruction or possibly bloat, but the x-ray gave us the bad news.  Surgery was not a viable option and there was no other possible treatment.  She was going down hill quickly and was in obvious pain so we let her go peacefully while we held her close.  She was always the one we thought would live the longest.  Our hearts are broken once again.

In loving memory of Jake
We lost Jake on the evening of 6/16/2009.  It came on suddenly.  He had a clean bill of health, including normal labs just 2 months before.  The other dogs are walking around and appear to be looking for him, particularly Bonnie and Cody.  Our hearts are broken.
